Commission to Study Judicial Branch Security
On July 25, 2024, the Nevada Supreme Court convened the Judicial Branch Security Commission to examine security concerns affecting the judicial branch. Under the chairmanship of Justice Linda Bell and the vice chairmanship of Chief Marshal Wright, the Commission is charged with reviewing how threats are identified, assessed, and addressed, including information sharing, training, threat response, courthouse security, and coordination with other branches of government. Its goal is to strengthen safety for judges, court staff, court users, and the public.
