Following a car accident, Seungju Lillian Han sued Manuela Garcia-Hernandez and Jose Ines Marrufo Sanchez for damages. The jury found the defendants liable, and awarded Han was awarded damages, costs, and attorney fees. After trial, dDefendants moved for a new trial, arguing that the district court’s erred when it: (1) declined to disqualify Han’s counsel; (2) excluded evidence of Han’s past medical records; and (3) permitted Han’s attorney to engage in misconduct that allegedly inflamed the jury’s passion or prejudice, prejudicing their case. The district court denied the motion and granted Han’s motion for attorney fees and costs. Appellants appeal both the denial of the motion for a new trial and the order granting attorney fees and costs.
